Show Prices

Day fee for training horses $50

°Clients will pay a day fee of $50 to cover the costs of hiring help and additional time required for prepping and caring for horses to show.  This cost will also cover any instruction that is received throughout the day at the show. The fee will be applied starting the departure day for a show and will be applied for every day until the horse returns home.

Day fee for horses not in training $75

°Clients will pay a day fee of $75 to cover the costs of hiring help and additional time required for prepping and caring for horses to show.  This cost will also cover any instruction that is received throughout the day at the show. The fee will be applied starting the departure day for a show and will be applied for every day until the horse returns home. ***Horses not in full time training will not be ridden by BC employees at the horse show.***

Mileage- Hauling .85/mile

°.85/mile will cover gas expenses and wear and tear on our truck and trailer. There will be a minimum fee of $50 to haul anywhere. Should the mileage of a trip exceed $50, that price will be the total expense to the client. Moreover, BC has to haul equipment and tack to the shows regardless of horses hauled, so there will be a $1.50/mile trailer charge divided amongst all clients attending the show whether in full time training or not. If a horse rides with BC, their designated owner’s portion of the $1.50 will be waived as they will be paying the .85/mile already.

Lodging Fees-Amount varies with circumstances

°The cost of housing all BC Quarter Horses' employees will be equally divided among the number of horses in attendance at the show. Should one owner send multiple horses, they will pay a separate portion for each horse.

Miscellaneous Show fees- Amount varies with circumstances

°Bedding, stalls, and entry fees at shows will be paid by the horse's owner. Should a BC Quarter Horses' employee show any horse which has been in training, the owner of the horse will incur all show fees. Tack stalls will be divided by the number of horses who are attending the show, not by number of riders.

Banding- $50

°BC Quarter Horses encourages clients to pay a professional bander/braider to prep a horse’s mane. BC Quarter Horses’ employees will be very busy riding, training, and instructing while at shows, but banding services will be available if needed and a client can pay these fees--Braiding will not be a service available through BC Quarter Horses.

Catch Riding- Amount varies with circumstances

°Like the banding and braiding, this is a service that will not be provided regularly. If you believe that you have a catch ride opportunity that would be mutually beneficial, please reach out to Bryant or Charity with your offer.

Winnings

°Distribution of prize money shall be determined by custom of the show circuit. Owner shall receive all trophies and ribbons. The rider (be it an employee at BC Quarter Horses) shall receive all prize money except futurities, maturities, and versatility where Owner shall first recover his entry fee from his horse’s winnings plus any excess shall be equally divided between Owner and Trainer.
